We regret to inform you that the spread of COVID-19 and the mandated closure of restaurants and other facilities has forced us to cancel this year’s Little Black Dress Luncheon scheduled on Saturday, March 21. Though we are unable to gather together on March 21, our mandate has not wavered: to develop exceptionally qualified civic leaders who collaborate with community partners to identify a community’s most urgent needs and address them with meaningful and relevant programs and initiatives that not only improve lives, but also change the way people think.
We hope that you will consider the cost of your event ticket as a donation to the JLB that will continue to allow us to support Women in Crisis around Oakland County. If you would prefer to request a refund of your event ticket, you may do so until Friday, March 20 by replying to this email. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible to the original method of payment.
For our Active Members: we ask that you continue counting your event ticket towards your fundraising requirement in the best interest of the League. We continue to work out the remaining details of our 2019 -2020 League Year, but suffice to say that our remaining schedule has been significantly impacted.
Please know that we are respectful of this uncertain time for our friends, families, and community members and what this could mean personally for your families. We share in your disappointment about the cancellation of this event, but look forward to seeing you at next year’s Little Black Dress Luncheon.
