JLB Gives Campaign
We are thrilled to announce our new community partnership with Hope Against Trafficking. Hope Against Trafficking is a 24-month residential program for survivors of human trafficking that provides restorative housing and comprehensive services focused on physical, mental, emotional, and economic transformation.
Through our partnership, JLB will develop and provide Job Readiness Programming for Hope Against Trafficking’s residents. Job readiness programs for survivors of human trafficking have been proven to have a dramatic effect on the success rates of participants. In conjunction with the Job Readiness Program, JLB will be creating a positive learning environment for the residents through the renovation and decoration of a dedicated classroom.
JLB has a longstanding history of helping area nonprofits such as Lighthouse, Common Ground, CARE House, HAVEN, and many others establish programs and flourish to meet the needs of the community.
Since 1952, the Junior League of Birmingham has donated over $5 million to community-based need organizations and volunteered over 1 million hours to our community partners. Your donation today will help us continue this important work in the community.
Our community programs are dedicated to helping women in crisis in Oakland County. We know that countless women throughout our county are suffering right now due to food insecurity, domestic violence, or other crises. We remain committed to helping the organizations that support them now and in the future.
